He texts me: Was that sarcastic?
I text him: No I wasn't being sarcastic
Sunday I didn't hear from him...yet monday at school he came up to me after class and talked to me as if everything was normal...
we went out for about 2 years, then over the summer we got in a lot of arguements so i just started fading out of his life because we both became busy with athetletics/school and i needed time to think if he was really worth it or not..so whats going on with him? i'm just really confused with his actions....

I wouldn't read too much into that. It seems like he misses you, but he's used to "arguing" with you...(a dynamic you both apparently got comfortable with). The question is, (missing you aside) what's different about either one of you that would make a second chance at a relationship work out better this time?

sounds like by texting you and asking if you want to hang out and then not going thru with it he was wanting to make sure you still wanted to hang with him for his ego.
