Jesus fulfilled the old testament law...we are still to obey the ten commandments and the dietary laws....
common sense was not nailed to the cross...
the observance of the Sabbath was changed by man not by God...
the eating of unclean is changed by man and his health is showing the wrong of this attitude.....

Jesus PREDICTED the END of the law.
…Yes, Jesus said he didn’t come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it, (Matthew 5:17) but this DOES NOT MEAN THE LAW IS STILL IN EFFECT. The result was the same, once fulfilled, the law was no longer in effect.
The very next verse, Matthew 5:18, LOOKS FORWARD to the time when the law WOULD BE SET ASIDE. "...Not even the smallest stroke of a pen will disappear from the Law UNTIL EVERYTHING IS COMPLETED." This “UNTIL” clause REINFORCES THE TEMPORARY NATURE OF THE LAW. It ONLY makes sense when we understand that the law was intended FROM THE BEGINNING to be SET ASIDE.
Of course this fits perfectly with Paul’s later teaching:
Ephesians 2:15 Through his body on the cross, Christ put an END to the LAW WITH ALL ITS COMMANDS AND RULES. He wanted to create one new group of people out of the two. He wanted to make peace between them.
Colossians 2:14, 16, &21 (excerpts) He wiped out the written Law with its rules. The Law was against us. It opposed us. He took it away and nailed it to the cross… No one can be made right with God by obeying the law.... What if a person could become right with God by obeying the law? Then Christ died for nothing!

Why Jesus died For Us
He is our sacrificial lamb who shed his blood to cover your sins: past, present and future. If not he died at the cross in vain. He full filled (Luke 24: 44) and nailed the 10 commandments to the cross (Colossi ans 2:14). Christ did not die in vain (Galatians 2: 21). Spirit is of faith and not of the works of the law (Galatians 3: 2). Christ is the end of the law (Romans 10: 4). The law was our tutor but no more (Galatians 3: 24 – 25). God will remember your sins no more (Hebrews 10:17). You are a sinner for life, there is nothing that you can do, not to sin (1 john 1: 7 - 10). You can not go out into the world and do what ever you wish, just because Jesus covered your sins (Romans 6: 1 - 3). Hebrews 8: 7 – 13 (he wrote the laws into their hearts, so that you would know right from wrong.
If you have faith in Jesus and are obedient to God, then you are not under the 10 commandments.
If you do not believe in Jesus, then you are under the 10 commandments, now you need to bring your unblemished goat to the alter every year and sacrifice it to cover your sins but with Jesus, he is our new covenant.
You are justified by faith and not of your works

Christ is the direction to which the OT is heading. He is in the OT , Isaiah 53 read it.
I belive that the OT has a lot of great things in those scriptures. I belive the main difference ( and it is a big one)is that we have had our sins paid for in Christ. Before Christ
we were required to give attonement for our sins , ie animal sacrifice. Why people belive that the old testament is done away with I dont know . Read Matt.5 verse17 . There are some verses in the new testament that people point to , But seldom use them in context. I do understand we are not "under the law" However I dont think we should rip out the first half of the book.

I think it depends on a person's interpretation of "fulfilled".
One common perspective is that fulfilled means "to bring an end to"...this is the perspective consistent with your details...to suggest that Jesus fulfilled the law in this respect is to suggest that God did waste time with useless laws before that time. This isn't consistent with my perception.
The term fulfilled can also mean to "satisfy", to "carry out", or to "bring into actuality". The old laws did have two aspects...the rules AND the punishments. To say that Jesus fulfilled the law can simply mean that he satisfied all of the punishments in the law leaving just the rules. Alternatively, it could indicate that Jesus was the fulfillment of the promises God made to people who kept the old laws. Or, it could indicate that Jesus was the instrument by which the application of the law was extended from God's chosen people (Israel) to the entire world.
My perspective is that Jesus fulfilled the laws by eliminating but NOT ending the laws themselves. I believe that the OT laws were designed to help man avoid things that would separate us from God. These laws were, by design, very detailed in order to cover a large number of potential behaviors/actions that could cause a person to harm himself or to harm another person. Jesus provides a bridge that allows us to directly seek the will of God instead of relying on a "one-size-fits-all" set of laws.
I believe that through Jesus and later through the gift he sent back for us (the Holy Spirit) that we can now give God permission to write his laws on our heart. That we are no longer be bound to follow God's instructions because of the threat of external, man-enforced laws (and punishments) but instead, that we would follow his laws because we choose to do so...because in our hearts, we know and understand what he would have us do.

You must differentiate between what was God's laws and what were man's laws made up to try to help the people keep God's laws and to try to keep the people healthy because at that point that was the only life they had. Picture it as God's laws were a fence around a particular thing and so to make sure these laws were kept the leaders made another fence around the first fence so if people got through the first fence they surely wouldn't be made so brave as to go through the second fence before they were punished.

I am constantly surprised by the number of people claiming to be Christians who really don't know the bible
Jesus birth and life was the fulfillment of prophecy not law
he didn't change the laws of the old testament he added to them with rules like turn the other cheek
you will have to read the bible for yourself and pray a lot. do not expect an immediate answer, the lord wants you to come to the answers on your own if you can. but he does have your back

Because we could not be saved by keeping the Old Testament laws, Jesus even said that to get into heaven you would have to be better then the keepers of the law and the priests. The Old Testament laws were meant to protect God's covenant through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob until the Messiah, called Christ, could come, and now that we are under Christ we are not under the supervision of the Old Testament laws. We uphold God's law through the Holy Spirit. So the Old Testament was meant as a supervisor, so to speak, until Christ could come. Something to keep the people together until they could be marked by grace and redemption.

It depends on which laws you are talking about. The moral law is everlasting -the Ten Commandments. Jesus never came do dismiss them but actually stressed their importance throughout his ministry. But the sacrificial laws were to give ancient Israels lessons on the nature of sin, God, and the ultimate sacrifice that would come and take away sin forever. Because the ultimate sacrifice has now come, the sacrificial law is no longer of any use to continue

The people who wrote the New Testament knew it would be a hard sell if they didn't get rid of the image of a hate-filled, jealous, vengeful, brutal , and murderous God.---So they invented a new god who was loving, merciful, and forgiving.
Then they announced that they had a " new covenant with God".---This new twist of the truth worked very well for them, and it helped Paul and Mark continue the protection racket that was set up by the Disciples of Jesus.
