I am considering getting a, Enfield style rifled musket. I know they were not and probably are not made in Enfield but that is OK. I am looking for a modern reproduction of one, or an original... whichever is less expensive.

What could I expect to pay for whichever is less expensive? How much are musket balls for it, minie balls? Where can I get percussion caps and are they very expensive? What about black powder? In all, how much should I expect to pay per shot?

(The Enfield is the rifled muzzle loader used by the Confederacy)

A reproduction is MUCH less expensive than an original.
Check either Dixie Gun Works at www.dixiegun.com or Cabella's at www.cabellas.com. Another place is Track of The Wolf but I don't know their web site. All carry the 3 band Enfield that you are looking for. All also carry the various items about which you are asking.
