All of the above are good answers, but I have to warn you, don't get drawn in by those deep discount websites that offer $2500 cameras like the Canon 5D at prices of around $1200. They are a major rip-off. Always check the reseller rating of a store before you buy anything from them.
Here's a list of camera stores that you DO NOT want to be buying from:
1. Best Price Cameras
2. InfinitePhoto.com
3. JandKCameras.com
These three sites are all the same company, and they're all a scam.
Don't expect to find a too-good-to-be-true price for a pro-camera. You'll find good deals on ebay and from re-furbishers, but they usually won't knock off any more than a few hundred off of the regular price. If you want a pro camera you're going to have to pay for it.
The website below is a great for deciding who to give your business to, and just to show you how bad those three stores are (or rather one store is), it goes to their consumer rating (0.29/100)
Hope this helps!

We buy a lot of our electronics from Refurbdepot.com. They have a large selection of refurbished digital cameras. I have bought two computers from them and they were excellent, plus I saved hundreds of dollars. Read the camera reviews on CNet, then look for what you want. ( We love Canon cameras.) Refurbs carry a warranty, just like new.

Try craigslist for your city or ebay or call local camera stores and ask if they have any trade-ins.
