I've just started uni and although the course isn't going too badly, I'm convinced I'm going to fail. The course is a medical one and requires a lot of confidence to talk to patients etc, and I just don't have that. We are being videoed soon, and assessed, for our communication abilities and I can't communicate cos I'm too shy, so I know I'll do badly. I really want to quit but I don't know if it's a good idea or not - I don't have anything else going for me. I'm not attention seeking, I swear, I just don't think I have anything else that I would be good at. I don't know what to do. Please please help, I just have no idea where to go now.

You need to do things that build up your confidence. Perhaps the best place to learn to talk to people, whether religious or not is to go to a church service and talk to someone there because they should always be friendly in that place. Go to a health food store and get some DMAE which is all natural but helps with concentration and memory and as those improve, so may your confidence. put As a man Thinketh in your search engine and you will find that to read online and that may help as well
Remember that many of us would rather have a quiet, perhaps shy person who has studied well and knows what they are talking about than a very friendly person who has gotten through school because they are outgoing and talk well, as our doctor.
