For example... I live in Waikiki and I can tell you that "Waikiki" and "Waikiki Beach" is the exact same place. People just call it two different things sometimes. Not everything in Waikiki is right on the beach of course but it's all the same zipcode and the same general area. It's not like they are two different cities.

If you want to get more technical... Waikiki is part of the city of Honolulu... but... Honolulu & Waikiki are not interchangeable. Waikiki is a very defined area like like Manhattan is to New York City.

Is Miami & Miami Beach two completely different cities or two very different areas of one larger city? Or... Is it all the same thing?

Thanks,

No, Miami Beach is on a pininsula while Miami the city is on the mainland. I have relatives in Miami the city.

Miami is the larger area, Miami Beach is on the coast. it has lots of trendy restaurants, bars and hotels. Most people speak of 'Miami Beach' as a specific location along Ocean Ave. It has art deco buildings and is less than 1 mile long. It has a large sandy beach. The feel of Miami Beach is much different than Waikiki. Waikiki is more tourist and family friendly, while Miami beach allows topless sunbathing and caters to a more mature crowd.

Naw Boldin will have a great impact and all, but by no means will he be anything extraordinary. Joe Flacco is a good QB and all, but he is no Kurt Warner... I would have to say Julius Peppers will have a great impact on the Chicago Bears. They already have a pretty good D-Line with their current roster and adding Julius Peppers was a very good move. Brian Urlacher coming back also means good news for the Bears defense. Julius Peppers will destroy Brett Favre twice this season just like he did last year with the Panthers. I think that's the only thing holding Favre back, he remembers who Peppers is and he knows if he's back he will be in the same division as the guy. " My personal preference is Brandon Marshall. He could accomplish a lot in Miami with their strong passing game. " LOL... uhm... WHAT!? strong passing game? Wild cat doesn't count. And with Chad Henne in there or whatever his name is, he's a pretty decent QB and all... but by no means will they flourish just because of Brandon Marshall. He will make Chad Henne look good, just like Randy Moss made Daunte Culpepper look good, but he wont take them to the playoffs.
