what type of meat? pork, lamb, beef? there are tenderloin cuts for these and others.

determine which type of meat you are cooking, then find that section. it's best to go to a meat counter at a local grocer (or butcher shop) that is attended by someone who can answer your questions and give you choice cuts.

good luck!

It should be available if it is a complete meat market. If you are looking for a whole tenderloin you may need to ask the butcher for help. Beef or pork tenderloins should both be available. If not, have the butcher order it for you.

Well, there is beef tenderloin, and pork tenderloin...both are usually near the roasts but sometimes they aren't displayed, since they are premium cuts - you may have to ask for them.

I usually watch the ads for pork tenderloin & buy one when it's 50% off. They are in the meat case by the pork chops, country style ribs, pork roast, etc.......We buy a whole one, then cut into thick cut chops & pre-bag enough for 4 grillings out of one piece of meat........Marinate in a little teriaki or italian dressing, then grill over medium/hot coals til done........It will melt in your mouth!

At the meat counter, it is pork. The sort of equivalent to the best cut of beef i.e. fillet steak. Not too fatty, so it needs to have flavours added to it...
