HFCS is metabolized directly by the liver so the pancreas does not secrete insulin. This means that leptin doesn't get secreted, either, so our body doesn't realize it's full. Go to the internet and search for high fructose corn syrup dangers. There are many websites that can explain it better.

It's too much sugar. It causes an abnormal spike in your blood sugar level, and then an abnormal drop in the blood sugar level after it's all metabolized. This puts a lot of strain on the organs of your body that control your blood sugar. Other forms of sugar take a little more digestion before they change your blood sugar, so it's a slower effect and your body can deal with it better.

this food additive TRICKS your body into thinking it is still hungry AFTER you have had a full meal, and makes you want to eat more and more. The food companies add it so they sell more--they don't care if you are overweight or not.
