I've tried to download a trial version of microsoft office 2007. My computer operates with windows xp. is my operating system too old? how do i update?

every time i try to download the 2007 version of microsoft office, it says my operating system is too old, but my computer is operating with windows xp with the service pack, and my automatic updates is turned on. whats wrong here?

No, Windows XP Service Pack 2 is fine. If anything it's better than Vista. But have you tried Open Office or Google Documents? they are both free.

Make sure your system is up to date though. Go to Control Panel and turn on Automatic Updates.
