I was 15 when I started to work for a cafe in my area. I was a table busier. Most jobs want 16 year olds. But you may be able to find one who will hire you. Try small cafe's in your area.
I have a question to ask you. Do you like dogs? There is a boy in our neighborhood who walks dogs for the people in our neighborhood. He makes about $150 dollars a week. But he walks 15 dogs a day. Not at the same time. If you choose to do this, make sure the dogs you walk are not mean to humans or other dogs. You will be responsible if the dog would attack someone or someones pet.
Or you can try a newspaper company. Depending on where you live, you may be able to deliver news papers in your area.
This one is gross, but we have someone in our neighborhood that does this. They pick up dog poop in people's yards. You wont believe how many people are willing to pay someone else to do that.
If you choose to start your own little business, advertise. You'll get more customers that way. Put posters up on stores and gas stations billboards. put them in people's mail boxes.
But McDonald's hires people 16 and older.
Edit: If you choose to work with animals for you career. Volinteer at you local animal shelter one day a week. It will give you experance. That will give you a heads up over the compatetion. Good luck.

In most places the minimun age is 16. If you have a Publix around [a grocery store type thing like Wal-Mart] then they'll let you be a bagger, for minimum hours, minimum wage.
I would ask around. I'm pretty sure McDonalds won't hire you unless you're at least 16. Go to somewhere that you may be interested in working at and ask.
It also really depends on where you are.

i worked at a grocery store when i was 15 as a cashier and they even had bag boys as young as 14 but they could only work a few hours a week by law... you could try babysitting..... or a craft... a flea market if your parents let , you could get rid of your unnecessaries that you never use and make a little change
get a craft.
wash cars for the neghborhood
cut grass
my younger sister is 14, lives on a small farm,
she plants and maintains a field of strawberries that people pay to pick by the pound..
she also breeds rabbits
and even once tried to sell eggs from her 60 chickens but did not profit and thats when she was 13....
petsitting
dog walking
you have a lot of options
just be creative and
you will make more when you work for yourself esp if you have a good idea
GIFT WRAPPING SERVICE sinve the holidays are coming... people always need a secoond set of hands

It depends on where you live. If you are in the US there are different laws for each state. Even if it is legal for you to work at fourteen there will be strict rules on how many hours you can work and what times. I know Tennessee and Alabama are legally aloud to hire you at the Age of 14, but a lot of places won't because of the hours. My suggestion is ask around. Ask the people working at McDonald's next time you go in there to eat. They will know what the policies are. I knew legally that I could work at Burger King when I was 14, but I had to ask if they would hire me at that age because sometimes they wont. Don't be shy and just ask them! Good Luck!

hmm its tricky at that age. you feel mature but yet the state thinks you immature . I found that you have to be 16 to work in a shop or deal with money but there are jobs out there but its restricted. Its all due to the childs protection act i believe but you can get paper rounds, wash carsand work on farms as fruit pickers to name a few. I know its not what you wanted but i had the same problem and ended up with a paper round. Do some research is the best i can say.

Most states require that a minor be atleast 16 years old to work. Your state might have the age limit of 15, just ask at your local McDonald's if not, there's always babysitting.

Although they say you have to be 16, I've heard of 14 year olds working at McDonalds. If you know somebody who works there, they could probably get you on!

At fourteen, they're are plenty of Jobs, I am 15, and I started my first job at 14, at a McDonald's restaurant. You can also be a hostess for a restaurant, or even a bus boy. All minimum wage paying jobs, but jobs none the less.

everybody keeps saying you have to be 16, but that's not true, it's only 16 in some states. it's 14-15 in some states, and if the age is 15, you can still obtain a worker's permit from the state.

Not sure if it works in the States, but when my mom was in the military and we lived overseas, the youngest you could work was 14 on base (I worked in a hot dog place and then Baskin Robbins). Not sure if that's the rule state-wide though, it might just be for overseas military dependents.
