There are a couple Dillion Ashers. The one most are related to was born in 1777 and died in 1844. He had an Uncle Dillion who we think he was named for and a son and grandsons named after him.
Dillion Asher (1777-1844) was married first to Nancy Davis then to her sister Sally Davis (cousins to Jefferson Davis).
He also had children with the Collett sisters, Sarah and Elizabeth. Last count he is said to have fathered 36 children with these 4 women. I know this due to the fact I am decended from one of the sons with Sarah Collett.
I am thinking that the Dillion Asher you are looking for is a nephew of the one I spoke of.
hope this helps.
