What is a good website that has examples or resumes. I need to see how a good one is formatted and what the cover letter would look like.

Hello... You can find many sites with standard examples of resumes. However, what you are looking for is an example of a resume that is effective in getting you a job interview - two different things!

A resume is not a just summary of your work history, it is an advertisement for you - a marketing document. It should be crafted as one.

To see what I mean, go to http://www.job-winning-resumes.com and read all of the free content.

There are resume samples, cover letter tutorials, how to write your objective statement and more...

I hope this helps!

Cheers...

A great resume will do all of the above, but it will focus specifically on skills and accomplishments. Ideally each resume is geared toward a specific organization or position. The skills the applicant chooses to highlight as well as the experiences should relate directly to the job or position. It needs to be as focused as possible in order to stand out from the crowd.

If you use MS Office, you can link to their template page and type in resumes. You can also google your field of expertise and the word resume--often a whole list of websites with examples and templates will show up. Because there are so many career fields out there, it is best to companion your resume sample search with your career field since different companies look for different styles. I'd be glad to help you more in your search if I knew what type of job you are looking for.

You've probably got it on your word processing software. It gives you formats and all you have to do is fill in the info.

Unless someone asked you to send a hard copy of your resume, it's my belief that it will go unnoticed, a mix of trash and e-mail trash. If you are going in person to an interview, though, having a copy on hand is prudent.
