My husband suffers with his sinuses. However since taking cod liver oil every day it's really eased the pain he used to get. Also try inhaling steam to open up the airwaves.

I am an adult and have suffered from sinusitis from a baby. I have been on drugs to control the effects of sinusitis all my life until recently.

Because of the adverse side effect of sinus medication I had to seek alternative medication. After many trials I found a natural medicine that really works. It relieves sinus pressures in seconds and can last for hours. Coupled with a saline solution spray one dose of this herbal formula will work all day. It is call Echinacea/Eyebright Blend and can be found at any good vitamin store.

This formula is for kids, but I take the highest dose and it works miracles.

Give it a try and you too will agree that miracles still exist.

If you can't find it at your local vitamin store store you can order it here: http://www.nutrovita.com/4917/herbs-for-kids/echinacea-eyebright-blend.htm

This isn't a cure but it will make you feel better--take a hot steamy shower first thing in the morning and last thing at night and breathe in the hot steam; it will help open your nasal passageways and let some of that blockage drain out so your body can heal faster. Or, if you don't feel like taking a whole shower, run hot water in the sink as hot as you can stand it, run it all over a washcloth, and then hold the washcloth up over your nose and sinuses and breathe in the steam. (I usually run the water hot enough that I can only hold the cloth at the very corners, and I just let the wet cloth drip into the sink while I'm holding it over my nose.) A little bit of menthol rubbed on your upper lip at night (just under your nostrils) can also help open you up. Good luck!

Hot compresses, tylenol sinus, decongestant of some type, cold air humidifier, dayquil and nyquil help for a little while. If you've had it more then a week you should go to the doctor and get anitibotics. Go in bathroom shut the door turn on shower and bathroom sink to hottest water and let it run and sit in there for like 15 min. Also hot shower and keep your head under the water.

I feel your pain! Been there, suffered that. Try Menthol Crystals. You drop one or two of the crystals into a bowl of hot water, pop a towel over your head and gently breathe in the vapors. Be v careful though, these are strong! Works every time for me. (You can get the crystals from most chemists). Feel better. Hugs

Garlic is good for sinus problems. Get some high strength odourless 3,000 mg garlic oil capsules and take 3 to 6 a day.

Switching from mucus generating dairy products and red meat to soy milk and white meat also helps. Fish is better than chicken.
