When there are NO original manuscripts, there are hundreds of forged scriptures...

And there's virtually NO extrabiblical evidence that Jesus Christ ever even existed!!??

Josephus was forged, Tacitus is highly debatable and pretty much, that's it!

No first-hand accounts of this man exist!, yet there were forty or so historians right there when all this supposedly happened. There are a lot of reasons to believe it was all made up - plenty of motives!

There's just as much evidence for tinkerbell! At least we have pictures of abraham lincoln.. and what about all the hundreds of manuscripts that WERE NOT included in the Bible!? They tell a very different story.

How can people embrace such a thing, with so scant evidence? Aren't they being silly? No rational person could swallow it all...

Is it that most of you were taught all this stuff as children and eventually rationalized it to the point that you're brainwashed?

Or are you merely afraid to live life on your own merit?

I think the answer lies in the very question you have posed. It is faith. Some people have faith in Jesus and his bible. But more than half the world population does not believe in Jesus or Christianity or any form of it. For that matter no religion can claim that more than 50% of the world's population are its followers. As civilisation grows, education and knowledge improves and understanding of the subject increases, many of the blind faiths or believes will subside and the concept of humanity as religion will prevail.

i've got not precisely heard of a "faith" as such, yet there are a number of small communities that have faith in this. i will comprehend why they reject the bible, the bible became written by potential of guy and guy is unquestionably bias. So subsequently there is an threat the bible is biased. The bible has been edited and translated such multiple circumstances that the clean version of the bible is long previous. subsequently the Bible could be unreliable. subsequently inflicting doubt between human beings to have confidence the bible. yet although they nonetheless have faith in Jesus. All a risk.

It is too often not a rewarding experience to question the world you believe to be real. Its doesn't feel good, unless you have learned to think in such a way.

So much of human existence is as it is simply because people never considered that we had other options.

Also, we are beings of belief. Not strictly religious, nor scientific, nor any other. But humans must believe in something to be human. If a story doesn't hurt you, yet promises rewards, why question it? This is especially true if the consequences for questioning it could be social isolation or eternal damnation?

I'm not a Christian, but I think I understand how they think.

Have you ever read Polycarp's Epistle to the Philippians?

How far back do you want to go? It was the first century Christians who were begetting the second century Christians. And those Christians who helped the third century Christians become Christians. And the third century Christians pushed on into the fourth century. ( Are you getting it yet?)

I know I wasted a post on you, but it is the fact that there are Christians throughout the times that they existed which is evidence of Jesus Christ.

Are you REALLY looking for evidence?

Because most of the world has no faith.

Because of my faith and obedience I have experienced his power many of times.

Wow, if the bible were fictional, then how do you explain the verse in the bible that states when you lay hands on the sick by the power of God and the faith of man that person is healed. How do you explain casting out demons from a demon posses ed persons. How do you explain when you are filled with the holy spirit and it reveal things to you, that you would not know if there was no holy spirit.

Theses things I have done with the church that I attend

MY EXPERIENCES

I experienced God many of times, when you fellowship with him. I received the Holy Spirit one day before I came to the church that I am attending now. The power of the Holy Spirit was so powerful that it was a force that rippled from my feet through my body and up to my head. It removed the pain and depression that I had at the time and it caused a great sensation of peace (to this day, I was never water baptized). He will be there for you; he knows your needs and wants. One night after doing the will of God (ministering to someone against the book of James) I was driving back home and I continued to fall asleep on the fwy. On the third time, my ears popped opened, like a loud explosion, I felt a rush of pins and needles swirling around the inside of my head, I felt pins and needles from my elbows to my hands and then I was wide awake, like I had slept for days. I knew it was God and I drove all the way home and when I got into the driveway I started to fall a sleep again. Once he picked me and my motorcycle up, while riding in the mountains after I was about to crash. I blacked out and when he set me back on the path, I woke up. Once he sent an angel down to stop me from doing something stupid, this angel looked like a human but when I turned away for a second and then back he vanished. I can go on and on. Have faith, sit in a church and learn God's word. You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

There are lots of fist hand accounts and lots of extrabiblical evidence, but you have decided to reject it all in spite of the facts.

If you want to believe your own lies, that's up to you.

Still one day every knee will bow and declare Jesus to be King of Kings and Lord and Lords and you'll bow then too.

I think it is a fashion in this country to believe in God.

In mine, (france) the fashion is to be atheist.
It's contagious.

At the end, I'm agree with you when you say that most of us are merely afraid to live life on our own merit.
