RavenWolf has forgotten the concept of "harm none." She has significantly contributed to the commercialization of Wicca at the expense of inexperienced, confused lost souls (mainly referring to pre-teen and teenage girls).

Well the other answers pretty much sum it up. She is a fraud who only cares about making money and what is the most marketable. She has probably done more harm to the Wiccan religion with her books than anyone else has.

MY experience with her writings has been that she has this habit of presenting the material in such way that is comes across like her way, her ideas, and her philosophies are the ONLY ones that are real and that everyone else is wrong. She makes statments of opinion that she puts forward as fact. She protrays things as abolsutes and when it comes to Witchcraft or Wicca that just doesn't work. I know people that own several of her books, mostly for comedy value although her bibliographies can point to some useful texts on occasion. So I have read a number of them, although myself I refuse to own one.

Oh Gods. Her books try and teach kids spells-most of which don't exist-without teaching them the control needed by someone who plans to use magic. They also include made up rules about what people who want to explore Wicca or any other Pagan path must do.She basically just cares about making cash.

As per my answer when you asked the same question last night... her research is shoddy, her ethics are questionable, and very few experienced Wiccans take her seriously.

As a Wiccan, I have seen SRW's books do far more harm than good.

well, since i have never read anything written by her i can't give you my personal opinion.

however people who i respect have warned me about her brand of writing.

the best advice i can give you is if you really want to know try to find one of her books in the library. that way it won't cost you anything to find out. if you like it you can always buy her books then.

bright blessings to you.

Hasn't this dead horse been beaten enough times already?

Seriously though, everyone else has already given the same answer I will: She's full of **** and just stay away from her.

She's very good at marketing Wicca. I understood she is the queen of the fluffy bunny wiccans.

Mostly, she's a laughingstock.
