Who IS God?
Is it Brahman?
Is it Buddha?
Is is "God"?
Is it Allah?
Is it Jehovah?
Is it Yahweh?
Is it Ik Onkar Nam?

Or is there no God at all?

Who IS it? Who is Omniscient and Omnipresent for all of us? He is one, we just have to narrow them down...

Please do not answer:
Every religion has it's own God.

This is YOUR opinion, please state one, and if you want to, WHY?

Thank you.

Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, major strands of Hinduism and some other religions all agree that there is only One God. They call Him by different names and have different views about some of his characteristics and other things, but there is NO way you can say its not the same God they're talking about IF there is a monotheistic God. It's just different names and different words (and different explanations) for the same thing. That's also the official teachings of Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and most Christian denominations, including the Roman Catholic Church and most protestant churches.

Nevertheless, many fanatic and fundamentalist individul Christians (usually protestants, and most of them Americans) seem to think its not the same God. There's nothing to warrant their view, which is solely based on prejudice against other religions.

Buddha, on the other hand, is by no means considered a God. Some of the main differences is he's not considered the Creator, he's not considered a Saviour (you can only liberate yourself through your own work, according to Buddhism, no one can walk the way for you), he's not the object for worship (although he is sure the object for devotion, but only as a teacher and model - when you show him devotion, ultimately it it your own Buddha nature, that is your own capacity to reach enlightenment and attain liberation, you show devotion for).

Also, according to Buddhism, there are many Buddhas, because everyone can become a Buddha (and will in the end). A Buddha is considered omniscient but not omnipresent or almighty. Their most characteristic quality is unconditional love and compassion (and wisdom).

On the other hand, Buddhism doesn't believe in an almighty Creator God.

you may desire to continually have faith your gut instinct. In my very own opinion, i does no longer have faith him any further than i might desire to throw him. in case you have caught him two times sneaking and being overly flirtatious and performing single...nicely. old behavior die no longer elementary. If he knows you will forgive him greater desirable than as quickly as, what's going to supply up him from doing it lower back? and then promising you he has replaced and needs to restoration issues? possibly i'm cynical, however the reality which you're so demanding and suspicious says volumes. i think of you comprehend the respond, and you do no longer choose individuals's comments and inputs. you comprehend you do no longer have faith him and it appears like he has given you good reason to no longer.

There certainly is divinity....

i don't believe that it is a single entity but rather a collective consciousness. I believe divinity lives in me and you and everything in existence.

It is shapeless, without form
It is everywhere, and nowhere
It is very small, and universal
It is darkness, and light

"We" have a terrible habit of needing to name/label things and so God, Allah, Buddha works for some... I like to refer to "It" as the divine

He is the Lord of Hosts, the Creator, the Alpha and the Omega, the Almighty, Kings of kings, and Lord of lords... He is the God of Abraham... He is that which is, was, and always will be... He is the beginning and the ending.

i don't believe in any gods. gods are human inventions, so far as i can tell. i never heard of ik onkar nam, thanks another one for the list. i suppose you could narrow that list down to two, the god of dharma or the god of abraham.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit

There are multiple names for each of those, and some of the names you listed are just different names of the same "God". But I believe in the God of the Bible.

Exodus 3:14
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

THAT is Who God is.

Sure, I'd be glad to answer. I believe in the God of the bible. I believe He is the one and only God, that there is no other. And, I believe the only way to God the Father is through His son, Jesus Christ.
