2 weeks ago i thought my life was perfect. i had a beautiful girlfriend who i loved, and a great job. then last week my girlfriend left me, didnt give me a reason and didnt do it to my face, she sent me a message on myspace.
and at work (i work at a bowling ally) i was trying to get a ball unstuck from one of the machines my boss yelled from out front asked if i got it yet
i yelled back "not yet" but he thought i said "got it" so he turned on the machine. my hand got cought on the belt and pulled into the gears, it got torn up very bad and it hurt like hell
it was so torn up that at the hospital they decided they had to chop it off.
so now, not only am i not very attractive (i never was) but i'm deformed too, which means i'll never get another girl, not that anyone would be as good as shayna.
but with only 1 hand i cant really do any work at the ally so i lost my job too.
plus i cant join the marines now, so i will never be able to afford collage, so i'll never become a lawyer

If you never really believed in God then why would you even ask this question? Instead you should begin by looking in the mirror to see what has brought you to this state. It would be excruciatingly painful and time consuming for you to type all this and also type up the 6 other questions you have asked here in Y/A since Oct. 8th. What God did was give you a life to live. If you mess it up or allow others to mess it up for you then you have only yourself to blame. Perhaps you should begin by being honest with yourself and with us. Politician? Marines?? College??? That's all sounds bogus!!!

You need help to overcome your depression.

You're in a really low place right now, it seems like your whole world is crashing around you. It's really easy to blame God, but, ask yourself this, did he appear to your girlfriend and tell her to leave you?

Human beings have free will and while you may NEVER know her reason for doing what she did, there's probably more at play than you can see right now.

The life lesson may not only be for you, but her, your former employer, even the life path you had carefully mapped out. Since you have alot of time on your hands, why not rent the movie..."Regarding Henry" starring Harrison Ford and Annette Bening? His life was mapped out too and his marriage was going down the tubes until one fateful night changed everything.

Right now, you may not see it, but maybe you were meant for something entirely different, don't lose hope, God will never give up on you.

Oh poor baby!! You are so picked on!! God must really HATE YOU!! Whatever!!

Grow up...file a lawsuit against your boss for not protecting you at work, sue for future damages and medical bills, and get on with your life.

As far as what does God have to do with all of this? Nothing at all. god does not punish us. he does not interfere with our mortality. Read the bible...you can do that with 1 hand. Now IF I believe your story, you just have to be happy with your life as it is now. You make yourself happy..or not. Not God, a girlfriend, anyone else. YOU choose your path in life.

Why don't I believe you? You were way too crass. You don't sound sincere. Haven't you never seen a 1 handed lawyer? Why does losing your hand mean you can't be what you want?
You didn't lose your brain. Or maybe you did. I don't believe you.

Nice try.

First thing.. Welcome to what I call Life. I am sooo sorry you have to go through this. But, understand......you think your situation is bad, but someone else's situation is worse. This is not the end of the world for you. You can still go to college--There are government grants, student loans and other programs. Also, you Will find another gf. I promise. You're just going through a tough time right now. And, I know you're probably saying, "what do i know". Well, I know that I have been dealt a rough hand too, but I made it through and so can you. Its not the end of the world. Things will get better. And as for God...He didn't promise a life that would be easy. There are going to be trials and tribulations, and you will overcome.

First, I would like to say you have my sympathies. You can still find work, and a girl friend. It might be harder but not impossible. The only way I see that you could do neither would be if you stop trying. You can also still go to college, although you will probably need to use financial aid.

With that said, I doubt that God did this to you, it was an accident. Horrible things happen to good people all of the time and good things happen to horrible people. It is not likely in God's will for you to have lost your hand.

About ten years ago I had a miscarriage and couldn't understand why He would have me become pregnant if I wasn't meant to have it. That opened my eyes and gave me the courage to finally leave my boyfriend. Now, I'm married, have three beautiful children, and would never have met the love of my life. I know life is incredibly hard right now but years down the line it will become clear why you had to go through this experience. God has big plans for you and it didn't involve the Marines or the Bowling Alley. Be patient, Hon', and life WILL get better. That's the way God works.

First of all God did not do any of that. God gave man authority on earth. Their actions and words determine what takes place in their life.
Next, you have a pretty limited view of what handicapped people can and cannot do. There has been Presidents and many other people with handicapped. Whatever happens in your life is determined by the limits that you place on your abilities.

For an accident such as you described, usually the person has a "nervous break down", which can be in the form of a depressed state or other things. This is a normal reaction to such a serious injury. I suggest phychiatric care. Do not delay.

Awwwww, I'm so so so sorry. I feel your sympathy!
There are times in life when everything seems down, and you feel like you have nothing to lose. But when that happens, you need to gain hope in order to survive. I highly recommend you take some time off, think, and re-organize your life. Try to look at the better things in life. :(

Try to keep that chin up, and if you're feeling lonely, you can mail me whenever you wish and talk. :)

Everyone goes through terrible times, whether they believe in a god or not.
Just believe that things will get better in time and that goodness will come to you.
Don't trust that a fictional god will makes things all better, because that won't happen.
Things will turn around. I'm sure of it.
