looking to find help for a friend to reduce / stop need to drink alcohol

The drug is called disulfiram, but is known as Antabuse. It is offered only through prescription. The link below will give you more info on this. Hope this helps..

I'm A recovering alcoholic I have not tryed anaduse and hear it doesn't always work. If your Friend has A drinking problem all you can do is offer support if would want to quit drinking. Look up some A.A. meetings in your area and try to get some literature on the subject. Also try alanon it's more for Friends and family of someone like your Friend.

You aren't supposed to drink on any medicines. I've been on many and I do mean many prescription medications that say not to use with alcohol and I have done just that and in excess and am quite large so I highly doubt that is the source of the issue

Any drug that affects your liver will tell you that you shouldn't consume alcohol.
