Surely Adam was his first son, and there must have been millions of people born before Jesus was immaculately conceived?

After he was immaculately conceived, he was immaculately raised, and then immaculately taken to the temple, etc.

None of god's other children got the immaculate treatment.

"(Jesus) was born of the Virgin, Mary. He suffered, died and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures. He is seated at the Right Hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and His Kingdom shall have no end."

That's what Catholics believe sets Jesus apart from others. But you pose and interesting question. Yes, we are all "children of God" but Jesus apparently had a special mission that He fulfilled. And there were millions of people born before Jesus but He was immaculately conceived in that the story goes that Mary was a virgin who gave birth-in other words, she didn't have sex and conceive of Jesus as other women had conceived their children.

I hope I can answer this without confusing you but Adam was the first Man created and Jesus was born unto Mary but by God. Adam was created with Gods Hands and Jesus was born like the rest of us. He placed Jesus here on earth to help guide and lead. We all are Gods children and no matter who he chose to call his only begotten son just know that he cares and u just have to believe in him. If U dont understand u must not have read the bible but if u do it will help you understand. I hope you believe and if not that is your choice but just read the bible if u havnt and hopefully it will help you.

You have posed a very interesting question. As a Christian, I believe in theTrinty, yet as we are all God's children what does make Jesus so special? Well, if you accept the Bible as fact, it shows the fulfillment of the promise made at the fall of Adam.
Even if you don't accept the Bible as fact, it still shows in the Gospels, the perfect example of how to love, to care, to put others before ourselves. We do this for our children, but Jesus is an example of doing for others who weren't family. So, no, I don't know what makes Jesus so special, but I do know that if we all followed the example of His life, the world would be a happier place.

Jesus was sent to Earth for many reasons... One was to die for the sins of humanity so that they would have the chances to be saved thru him, his blood was the ultimate sacrifice, before Jesus people would sacrifice animals as pennance to GOD and for remission of sins. Jesus died for all the sins of the world and he gave his life so that we may have a choice.
Another reason.. was to spread the word of GOD to people who had been previously following only the Mosaic law..or laws that Moses had set forth from GOD with the Ten Commandments along with other local beliefs they were practicing.
Jesus was a teacher, a passive politcal leader, and social revolultionist and religious revivialist and the direct Son of GOD. In the bible it says God sent his only "BEGOTTEN" son, so that humanity will have eternal life in heaven. Jesus was the LINK from Heaven to Humanity. He was the Messanger and direct communicator of GOD's laws and will.
We are indeed all GOD's children, but The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit are a cut of the same spiritual cloth, they are the holy trinity and in essence diffrent beings but yet at the same time they can be the same. Jesus is the humanbeings gateway to GOD and a source of our prayer. It is easier for us to identify with a man who has been on Earth and experienced human birth and death than it is to just think about some supernatural being. This is why Jesus is so special. :)
GOD BLESS
TRINITY

You need to take a few lessons before you post a question (no offence):

1. Jesus is the very firstborn of God.
2. Adam came WAY later with Jesus helping God to create him.
3. Jesus gave his life for our sins.
4. We owe SO many to God and Jesus and this means a lot.

Jesus is the Son of God. There were many born before Jesus. But then Jesus was conceived to save us from our sins. He died to save us all. So that is what makes him SPECIAL!

yes we are God's children and when he created us, He created us in His image and so we were perfect at first. But He wanted to know that if we had free will ,would we want to be with Him. So along with His image he gave us free will. Adam chose to disobey Him and so sin entered the world. Sin was part of our DNA as it were. As oil and water don't mix, neither do perfection and sin. We could not be sinners and go to be with a perfect God in Heaven. Not possible. Jesus was God's way of making it possible for us to be sinners and yet go to heaven, too. He, Jesus, died for us; became sin for us so that when He died on the cross for our sins, and when we believe that in our heart of hearts, our own sin was extinguished as though it never happened. God loved us so much that He would rather die than not have us live in heaven with Him!! (For, you see, just as ice, vapor and water is one and the same, so God and Jesus and The Holy Spirit are also one. That's why I can say 'He' and it refers to both God and Jesus).

When Jesus died He died for all mankind, before and after He was born. With God time is irrelevant.

That's just it, Jesus was immaculately concieved, born without the stain of original sin. Also, Jesus shared in God the Father's divine nature while at the same time being human. He was, is, truly God become man.
