When God had Moses write down the Ten Commandments, why didn't God Just write them on the whole side of the mountain, for all to see?

cause the 10 commandments are based of the much older code of hammurabi thats why

That way Moses could write down whatever he wanted after he broke them.

People have short memories so things have to be written down, they could not hang around the mountain to re-read them
