How do I get my dial-up to kick me off when I get a a phone call?

I keep missing phone calls. I want to get booted when I get a call. But I don't want to have to pay for this service. I have AOL as my dial up provider(i know, its no good, you don't need to tell me). I do have call waiting. I don't want to have to pay for it though. Does anyone know of a free program to do this?

I can't afford high speed.

AOL wants me to pay for it.

you need to have call waiting on the telephone line. once you positioned up your information superhighway connection, it is going to on the spot you or inform you which you're waiting to dial a code beofre the dial-up form (the place I stay it rather is *70 to disable call waiting). do no longer enter this code earlier the form. in basic terms enter the nuber itself, which must be a close-by form and does no longer require an area code. once you're linked to the information superhighway and somebody calls it is going to throw you off the information superhighway after numerous jewelry. I doubt this would artwork in case you have a voicemail equipment interior the telephone. I fairly have a separate answering device and it fairly works nice. that's the set-up i exploit at living house.

Get rid of dial-up. You don't miss a call or can not talk on the phone while on the computer. No, get with it, get your internet service thru your cable provider, that way you get phone, cable and internet.

talk to aol because you have dial up so it should atomaticly end your internet and allow the phone to ring even when i use to have a company nobody herd of it would kick me out
