2000 was the first year for the redesign of the Neon so it may be more trouble-prone than the previous generation or later years models. From the reviews I have read by owners on msn.com, it seems as though the Neon is plagued with a lot of engine problems from inexpensive ones like sensors to major ones like head gaskets and seals. Safety seems to be another concern with the Neon. I'd recommend a Honda Civic or Accord if you're going to spend that kind of money. They'll hold their value better and are much more reliable.

During the time this was built, Daimler had sold a lot of lemons. If I really wanted a Neon, I would buy the Dodge version considering the fact that the company is still around. Other options to look at are the Nissan Sentra, it looks better, its more reliable.

The Dodge Neon is a peice of crap and chances are that you will spend more money on repairs than on purchasing it. Try looking at a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla, they are both comparable to the Neon but much more reliable and durable.
hope this info helps!

2000 Neon is a very good car with only 55,000 miles on it, it',s a good deal. It is realiable for the daily commuter or it's easy to tune up for the racer. I would buy it if I had the money.

Any car has the ptotential to have problems. I don't think I would pay that price for that car though. Try looking on your local craigslist for a car.

Seems pretty reasonable. I assume that you live somewhere nearby and could have a mechanic of your choosing check it out.
