I am just throwing this out here, for Christians, do you think that homosexuality is a result of a person's or their ancestor's sin of idolatry ? Read Romans 1: 18 -32. esp the connection from v23 to 27. There appears to be a link between the two.

Yes, I do--but not just homosexuality, many of our sins come from our ancestors' sins, idolatry, and overall lack of respect for God. Yes, as the Bible says, each person must pay the price for his/her own sins, but there is a residual thread (can't grasp the word I want here) that does tend to pass down. Read Derek Prince's book "Blessing or Curse." It talks about things like that, as well as various diseases and addictive behaviors that pass on through generations.

Ezekiel 18:1 The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying, 2 What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge? 3 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel. 4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Exodus 34:7 God maintains love to thousands, and forgives wickedness, rebellion, and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished ;he punishes the children and their children for the sin of their fathers to the third and forth generation.

Homosexuality was practiced alot in the old times before Christ. God spoke a lot about sexual promiscuity. beastiology and incest.

I Think that those Scriptures mean (in general) that if you Don't End Up Believing in GOD, satan can get you InTo Alot of Sins.
Not just HomoSexuality.
These People who do Those Scriptures end up being Pretty Bad People--like "hitler".

i think what it means is that after continually going against God and denying him, God lets sin run its course in their lives. He will no longer try to persuade them. You know when the Bible talks about when a person denies and denies, then finally it's too late for them? Their hearts are hardened, and sin completely takes over their lives. But really good point - I will study this more. :)

No. I posted a link below from a current poster that asked the question about personal responsibility.

Every person is responsible for their own actions and choices. It is no one else's fault for who they are, but themselves.

No I wouldn't say that. Sin is the result of our own depravity.

Neither. It's a result of a man/woman who has a biological liking for mates of the same sex.

The reason all humans are born into sin is because of Adam's sin.The reason why any individual continues to live in sin is that that person hates God and refuses to obey His law.
