I'm 6'3" and drive a Renault Clio, I find that it has plenty of room in the front for me. Not much room behind though so not much good if you are likely to be carrying more than one rear seat passenger.

Matt is right, but just about any pickup will give you the room. If you want something 'sporty" you are pretty limited. Pontiac Fiero of 20 years ago was surprisingly roomy. In a Sunfire or Cavalier convertible, the roof actually bulges up so you have a lot of headroom (you 'll be looking through the top 2-3 inches of the windshield though.)

I am also 6'2",. and my Subaru Impreza had plenty of room for me, so does my Honda Accord Coupe. My father's 4Runnner works as well, but my mother's Honda CRV is a little cramped, so I'm not sure the Civic would be a good choice? Most coupes, actually have more front seat room than 4 door sedans, so make sure you look into them. My friend's cousin is 6'6" and he drives a Mitsubishi Eclipse. My other friend who is 6'5" drives a Jeep Wrangler.
Hope this info helps, if a coupe is feasible, definitely go with one.

I am 6ft, and my daughter has a Peugeot 306, when the drivers seat is pushed right back, I can just reach the pedals. There is plenty of headroom as well,( 3 to 4 inches above head) -no sunroof to lower interior height - as the seat is adjustable for height (meridian model) Plenty of them around, and cheap to run, insure & tax -1400cc They handle well, and there are a number of body kits if you want to customise them

I'm just over 6 feet, & the only small hatch I feel even slightly fits me is a VW Polo. Otherwise you'd probably be better off trying out a Focus, or something of that size.

get a Mercedes, mine is a W123 1980, and it cost me £700 I got it on eBay, classic car insurance, which is cheaper, and its plenty big enough for you and a basketball team if you like!
seriously, an old Merc will take you for miles and miles with no problems, and they are fairly cheap to buy.
