The Easter Bunny and Easter Eggs :~

Pagans worshiped Ostare at this time of year. The Hare {rather than rabbit} was one of her symbols, as were eggs, which represented fertillity.

The church kept some of the pagan traditions ~ Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox. This is why it is a movable feast.

Christmas :~

The Pagan feast of Yule {Midwinter} falls on December 21st. Lights were often lit to symbolise the days starting to get longer again, and to bring 'light into the darkness'.

The church wanted to detract from Yule, so decided Jesus was born on the 25th ~ studies have proven he would have actually been born in March.

Easter bunny and eggs- Astarte or Ishtar
Christmas trees, lights Santa/Christiams-Norse
Presents: Eh that's most pagan cultures. I do know that gifting was highly respected in the Norse/Germanic cultures in general.

Father Christmas was around WAY before St Nick.
State your sources that eggs were not connceted to fertility gods and I'll site you twice as many that state they do.
If you see anything to do with Christmas trees in the Bible it's lying to you. Where the **** would a middle eastern Hebrew get a damn pine tree?????

Its because corporations want to make big celebrations out of everything just to put some extra cash in thier pockets. I mean an Easter bunny has nothing to do with the Ressurection of Jesus Christ... at all.

It was, in my opinion, a misguided attempt to Christianize pagan rituals. And it was wrong and foolish.

This is What I Have Learned:

Easter Bunny: fertility gods (false)

Christmass Tree: it is in the Old Testament (they decked it with gold and silver---Type in gold and silver in a Bible Seach, should bring it up)

Santa Claus: this was a Real Believer in GOD (St. Nicholas, I Think!) and he did Good Deeds to the Poor.
Then, the World (devils) took it and Perverted it to Santa Claus, who can Visit EveryBody's House, by Climbing down the Chimney!
(even if they don't have a Chimney--what a lie!)
:)
