I've thought about it a lot... but then I get distracted, and it goes out of my mind.
Thanks for bringing it up... I'm gonna look into writing a will right now!!! (I already have the life insurance)

Yes I have...I have a living will set up as well as a will in case of my death. I know who my children would be living with in case of our death, and those people know too. I do not have a college fund set up for them however, as you can get student loans in Australia that are payable once you start earning a certain amount, and I would like them to be responsible for that themselves. I do however have savings set up for them that they can use to start them off once they move out of home.

I have no life insurance however...maybe I should but in my family we believe that life insurance is like profiting off a loved one's death, and any life insurance money would feel dirty to us. I do have a funeral fund though that will pay for all our funerals.

yes. my husband and i talked about that before we had children, and now that we have two, we talk about it often and make sure everything is up to date and accurate. they know that they are going to live with my best friend. not their grandparents, because they deserve to have the grandparent roles. my best friend loves my in-laws and is sure she can keep close contact with them. and we go to church together. we have the same values and beliefs. my in-laws don't go to church, so i know that being with my best friend would be best for my girls in the long run.
