Oh I know that you will point to scriptures that indicate being hated is a sign of your correctness. But are you even remotely willing to take a serious gut check into your ego's need for being a victim. The old us against the World thing. Has it ever occurred to you that behind all the rationalization stands your individual ego and your group ego. Why does the truth of your inflated ego escape the light of its keeping you seperate even from Jehovah?
Whenever you are angry, you can be sure that you have formed a special relationship which the ego has "blessed" for anger is it's blessing. Anger takes many forms, but it cannot long deceive those who will learn that love brings no guilt at all, and what brings guilt cannot be love and must be anger. All anger is nothing more than an attempt to make someone feel guilty, and this attempt is the only basis the ego accepts for special relationships.

Christ's atonement was for everyone. To see anyone not through the truth is to not accept it as truth. Love is not assoicated with any thing other than love.

(Acts 5:41-42) These, therefore, went their way from before the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy to be dishonored in behalf of his name. And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

No one in their right state of mind enjoys being hated. It's in our human nature to want to be liked by others around us.
Our being hated as Jesus put it, is a consequence of our being his followers. There are no two ways about it- if you choose to follow God, Satan's world WILL hate you.
Knowing that, we are not overly hurt when people say bad things about us or slander us. We realize that this is what Jesus talked about. (And it would be worrying if NOBODY hated us, now wouldn't it?)
And seriously, if you just look at it honestly, what BAD thing do Jehovah's Witnesses do that people hate them for?

My guess is they have a masochistic disorder coupled with a messianic complex. "If we are hated then we must be right because the jews hated Jesus" type of logic....
Sidenote..A couple of JW's stopped me on the street and asked me if I thought the current "environmental" crisis was indicative of end times...I said "Oh now you're trying to jump on the wiccan bandwagon about concern for the environment? I have been caring for the environment since I was a kid because the imperialistic capitalist system that churches condone has made the world into a consumer friendly, bigger better more faster mentality"
they just walked away....ooops

It's all about sex. Specifically "pity sex", which is the only kind of sex devout Christian men can receive these days by applying their "Jesus Complexes". A Jesus Complex occurrs in male Christian men and entails an unconscious desire to implement received persecution in order to appear as a sort of sacrificial hero thereby creating the impression upon their female counterparts of being "masculine" and "tough". Some have said that to be like Christ is to be Christian. And in no better way can this philosophy be used than in a man's perpetual desire for sex.

Convenient twist of scripture. They use Scripture to protect cultists..........irony! They don't know how ridiculous they sound.
but your statement....'Christ's atonement was for everyone. To see anyone not through the truth is to not accept it as truth. Love is not associated with any thing other than love.'
You are wrong.
Did Christ atone for the person (Hitler for example) burning in hell? NO absolutely not!
Are all chosen? NO.
It is a gift of God. Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

If this world belong to Satan (1 John 5:19) and this world loves you? then Satan love you....
the opposite is valid too , isn´t it logic
the reason to be hated depends if someone hate you because you invade his country is one thing but if you do nothing to someone and he still hate you, then why he hate you? if you are not doing anything to that person, normally thieves "hates" polices , why? cause the polices are doing something wrong? no cause the thieves are doing something wrong and they don´t like to be corrected it.
for example in my school a received rejection cause i didn´t have sex with girls, I am a normal guy and I like women but they "hate" my behaviour, maybe not me, and I didn´t enjoy it , of course not, I am not stupid to enjoy rejection, but if I know something is incorrect , I should do the right thing despite of they didn´t understand why I behave in such manner.
