Most dogs come into season around 6 months. You should have her spayed by then unless you show her in confirmation or some other AKC event. It is a messy affair and not something to keep intact for any reason unless you know you need to.
I'm a bit confused at what you are asking though. You would definately not want to breed her on her first heat anyway. A Bull mastiff is a large dog and most likely should not be bred till she is two first of all till she is done growing. Second of all she shouldn't be bred unless you are really serious about this and in that two years are willing to persue a championship on that dog in the meantime to ensure she is worthy of breeding. That will give you time to make sure it is really what you want to do and give you some contacts for some mentors and possible studs. If that indeed is what your question referred to. Hope that helped. You can find out more info by contacting your local kennel club.

Yes, your pup would be able to breed soon, but it is not really advisable to do so.
Before you breed her I would like to ask you a few questions:
1. Have you had her physically checked for abnormality's like hip dsyplaysia and other abnormalities that go along with this breed?
2. Is she registered?
3. What kind of bloodline does she have, are there champions in it?
4. Can you afford to buy back all of the puppies you are selling, IN ONE DAY?
5. Can you afford the vet bills that go along with a difficult pregnancy, like a Cesarean section?
6. What will you do if the mother dies while giving birth or rejects the puppies?
7. What does a sales contract involve?
8. What does the USDA require of breeders?
9. How long should you wait before calling a vet if you suspect your dog is having problems with the delivery?
10. Do dogs usually deliver during the day or at night?
11. What will you do if she gets aggressive toward you when she has the puppies?
You see, breeding a dog is not as easy as it looks. There is a lot that goes into it. You should not take this decision lightly. If you are doing it for the money, it very seldom pays off.

Larger breeds usually come into season rather later than small breeds - probably 8 to 12 months, but it can be as late as 18 months.
Do not listen to all these people who say spay her now. She is a large breed who should be allowed to mature physically and mentally before being spayed. If possible, she should have at least one season then be spayed around 10 - 12 weeks after.

That way she is less likely to develop spay incontinence, arthritis and a number of cancers.

Hopefully you will not consider breeding from her until she is at least 20 months old - as laid down by the Bullmastiff breed club Code of Ethics

'Breakdown'? I've never heard that term used to describe a b1tches heat.
Large breeds can be well over a year before the first season. If you think you are seeing signs of discharge / swelling etc, best get her looked at by the vet, as it is HGHLY unlikely to be her season....I would put MONEY on it.

Break down??
I would be worried if she broke down at ANY AGE.
Some replies have said get her spayed BEFORE she comes into season. That is NOT the advice I was given from my vet. They say it's better for the dog to have their first season, BEFORE you have them spayed, IF you want to get them done. Having them spayed before they have had a season CAN lead to incontinence when the dog reaches old age.

Large breeds can come into heat anywhere from 6-19 months. I have even heard of some later than that.

Anytime between 6 months to 1 1/2 yrs. I suggest that you have her spayed at the earliest opportunity.

she will probably go into heat about 6 months of age! but you should never breed a dog until they are at least 2! but considering you dont know any of this i gather you are not an experienced breeder ! you should get her speyed and leave the breeding to the pros!

If you are responsible and have her spayed, she will never come into heat.
It prevents many health problems and prevents the creation of homeless puppies that will end up in shelters or worse, euthanized.
