Farting isn't bad for the ozone layer. I have been holding in my farts for 5 years. Tonight at 10pm I'm going to let loose a fart and light it. If all goes well I hope to rocket myself to Hawaii.

No, the ozone layer is depleted by florine, chlorine etc found in chloroflourocarbons, hydroflourocarbons, hydrochloroflourocarbons. These are almost exclusivel;y synthetic gases, perhaps the best known of which is dichlorodifluoromethane (CFC-22) or better known by one of it's trade names - Freon.

Farts have a contributory role to play in global warming. Each day, every person (whether they like to admit it or not) produces about 750cl of flatulence, most of this is nitrogen but about 10% is methane and methane is one of the greenhouse gases. Compared to carbon dioxide it's quite a powerful greenhouse gas being 23 times as effective at retaining heat.

However, the total contribution made by farting to global warming is a very small one indeed.

in uncomplicated terms particularly situations. Benign farts would have not any consequence. poisonous farts, despite the fact that, could be devastating. They rank outstanding up there on the tsunami point. remember, you fart what you devour, so it rather is clever to undertake a protecting weight loss plan. Or, in case you hate people, an offensive one would desire to be so as. To fart or to no longer fart isn't the question the two. Farts are like politicians - no rely how lots they stink you could no longer preclude them from happening and that they are offensive in any respect situations. Any authentic tree-hugger would seize and bag their farts. consistent with probability the government would desire to arise with a secure storage facility and make the main of donated farts to warmth the halls of congress - uncooked and outstanding out of the bag!

Farting is bad for global warming, not the ozone layer. The hole in the ozone layer is now closing thanks to an international treaty, similar to the Kyoto treaty which would have countered global warming, but the US. government refused to sign.

No. It releases methane, which is a greenhouse gas, but it does nothing to the ozone layer.

no, i'm sure it dissapates before it gets to the ozone layer. It would probably do more damage to your internal organs if you held it in. look at poor spell check, he's held them in so long it's rotted his front teeth.

Farts contain methane and its release into the atmosphere is considered to be part of the global warming problem.

So next time you feel the need to let one rip DON'T, hold it back and Al Gore will be proud of you.
