God is a wonderful but jealous God. He did create everything to glorify him. It is your choice to go home and drink tea but is everything that your doing, listening to, talking about, thinking about, fantasizing about glorify him. It seems that there is a blank space in between the two questions that you have asked. And if you choose not to 'glorify him' that is your free will~another one of God's precious gifts.
By the way you're not a nut to ask such questions as others have stated.

CCC 1 - God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. For this reason, at every time and in every place, God draws close to man. He calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength. He calls together all men, scattered and divided by sin, into the unity of his family, the Church. To accomplish this, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son as Redeemer and Savior. In his Son and through him, he invites men to become, in the Holy Spirit, his adopted children and thus heirs of his blessed life.

CCC 2 - So that this call should resound throughout the world, Christ sent forth the apostles he had chosen, commissioning them to proclaim the gospel: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age." Strengthened by this mission, the apostles "went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that attended it."

I think that means to just enjoy your life. You know - be a good person, have a 401K going, avoid self destruction. I think that's glorifying him - just living a happy life, being nice to people, giving to charity, helping others, helping yourself.

I drink coffee.

Edit:
Staying on the right path for a day is easy, doing it for a lifetime is real hard.

Edit 2:
I ain't Christian. Jesus couldn't help himself when he was on the cross, how is he gonna help me?

Edit 3:
I am so damn sexy.

No, you misunderstand parenthood. His is our Father. He wants us to learn and grow in faith so that we may be His heirs.

This is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.

If that were true then god has some serious issues with his self confidence.
