Indeed. If God created us, who crearted God?
I think we created God to create ourselves. In other wods, we created the concept of God as a means to end our confusion as to where we came from.

You haven't defined who or what is an atheist.
If I assume that an atheist is someone who believes that there is no god, then God cannot be an atheist.
Who says that something cannot be made out of nothing? That may be our human experience, so far. But can anyone rule out the possibility absolutely? Einstein did show that matter can be converted into energy (which is not matter or something). E = mc^2. Theoretically, the equation can be re-arranged to make matter the subject of the formula.

The God of the Christians and Jews is not an atheist.
It believed that many gods existed and it was jealous of them.
It mentions a few of them by name in the Old Testament.
Strangely enough some of those names are his former aliases but who cares about details, right?

If God's an atheist, it means he doesn't believe in a higher power. So yes, he is an atheist, because He is the higher power.

You can't see air, either, can you? Yet, you KNOW it's there. And it's not "nothing".
Just because you don't believe in God, doesn't mean He doesn't believe in you.
And check out Hebrews, Chapter 11
The first verse is pretty clear:
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen".

Well, he better be an atheist! Because most of the other religions seem to believe that God is a muslim, a christian (so many flavors), a jew, and so forth. Someone's gonna be disappointed!
(Except Buddhism: they don't really have a personified god, thank god).

Ha! I never thought of that before. That's amazing! It's true, he is one, since who else could create God? Haha, nice.

As far as God coming from something....He's God...and we were told specifically there is just some things our human minds cannot handle or understand. That's one of them.
