First, he never said he invented the internet, he just came up with the phrase "information super highway"... but thanks for spreading lies.
Second, he never said global warming caused Katrina, just that increased global warming could lead to an increase in hurricane frequency and strength...but thanks for spreading lies.
Third, he never said "all the polar bears are dying," but that the polar bears will have a hard time surviving if the polar ice melts...but thanks for spreading lies.
Fourth, he never said "global warming is causing all the tornados", see hurricanes above...but thanks for spreading lies.
Fifth, he never said "global warming is responsible for everything" ...but thanks for spreading lies.
Finally, the judge in England did not require anything be removed from Gore's movie, see the decision here : http://groups.google.com/group/alt.global-warming/msg/87ffb8db671bf175?
...but thanks for spreading lies.
Now, who is the habitual liar?

You're right that Gore did not invent the internet and has at times problems stretching the truth. This does not mean he is wrong all the time. His over all message concerning global warming is spot on.
It's too bad he does not practice what he preaches which makes this very serious issue less credible in the publics eye. This issue sorely needs to be front and center for about the next century and a half. IMO not only others but the prevention of our own extinction depends on it.
Go ahead and thumbs me down but I hope there is enough of a truth seeking spirit in you to at least give it some serious consideration.
The issue of global warming is intuitively obvious that until the beginning of the 20th century there was about a billion people on earth of which only a minority using a significant amount of fossil fuels. Now there are over 6 and a half times that amount and counting with the majority of them burning fossil fuels.
It does not take a brain surgeon to see the correlation. To deny so is to deny that one can cut down a whole forest. I live in a state where the majority of it was trees several hundred years ago and now the majority of it is farm land, strip malls, housing divisions, industrial factories, asphault roads, fast food restaurants, gas stations, etc.
I'm sure at one point many wondered if there was a limit to how much cutting and building could be done before the environment was significantly altered. But people being people keep doing as they were because we primarily think about our basic needs and desires first and moral issues (especially concerning the environment) lower down on our priority list.
Ultimately this issue is a spiritual problem on our part. Until we get ourselves right it will be hard to correct the problems we have created.

Right on, Shilo9i!! You deserve the 10 points!
It astounds me how many people twist the truth, 'invent' stories, take things out of context, and then call the subject of their lies LIARS!!
Al Gore is a more honorable person than any Presidential candidate now 'running' for office. Better than Rudy, Mitt, Hillary or Barack put together.
Global warming may not have been a factor in Katrina, but there is no doubt that this phenomena will, indeed, affect weather patterns in the future. If nothing is done, parts of Bangladesh and Florida will be underwater in fifty years.
Polar bears ARE dying because the polar ice caps are melting. Remote Eskimo tribes will soon become extinct because their way of life is threatened by the global warming caused by man's Industrial Revolution. That may not matter to you, but it certainly matters to them!
Arrogance, avarice, sloth and hubris have set in - causing Americans to be incredibly calloused toward anybody but themselves. It obviously doesn't matter if rain forests are decimated just so we can eat cheap hamburgers at McDonald's every day.
It apparently is no concern of ours that we burn more fossil fuel than any country on Earth because we thing we're entitled to drive gas-guzzling Hummers and SUVs instead of more fuel-efficient compact cars. Some of us even brag about how it costs a hundred buck to fill our gas tanks these days, as if that's some badge of honor or privilege.
Just because we're too selfish, proud and self-centered, we can't be expected to walk to school, bicycle to work, ride a moped to the store or use mass transportation for more distanced travel.
We're too lazy and ignorant to REuse, REduce and REcycle because it's just too inconvenient.
We'd rather build luxurious resorts and condos on the beaches, even though they absolutely destroy the ecological value of mangrove forests.
Because we can 'afford it', we prefer to dine on $100.00 swordfish dinners in five-star restaurants, totally disregarding the fact that oceans are being over-fished and the ecological balance of nature is being disrupted.
Global warming IS a natural cyclical event spanning over tens of thousands of years. But mankind has, since the birth of the Industrial Revolution, escalated that natural cycle. That means that human beings, plants and animals can't adapt quickly enough to the changes in weather patterns and environment. THAT's the issue over global warming that will affect all of us in just a few decades.
We continue to drill for oil, mine coal, explore natural gas regions, destroy the Earth with land mines and rocket launchers, pollute the air and water supplies, and recklessly think nothing about how we're destroying the very planet that gives us life!
America represents only 5% of the world's population, yet we squander 55% of all global resources. We can't go on being so selfish. The rest of the world won't allow it.
Al Gore has nothing to do with these inalterable facts. He is just the messenger. And none of us should shoot the messenger....but we'd better ALL listen up! -RKO- 10/13/07

Do you think people who dislike Vice President Al Gore - will loose their sleep because he won Nobel Prize?
I bet hate-mongers will hate this....I don't know why republicans don't get Nobel Peace Prize? I bet Honorable Dick Cheney will get the peace prize next year....
Do you think right winger will tell that Nobel Prize committee is Left winger? And thats the reason they hardly win anything....except Henry Kissinger

He is a liar and he is delusional. You know...he kind of reminds me of a real dull and boring version of the "Pathological Liar" character portrayed by Jon Lovitz on Saturday Night Live. "Yeah, I ah, I invented the Internet see? Yeah that's it. Yeah and, global warming is caused by ahhh, humans, yeah. It's all your fault, THAT'S the TICKET!"
