Are all people of that faith your brother or sister?
If so -if those persons claiming to be of your faith were murderers or rapists, etc ---would they still be of your faith or your brother/sister?
How does it work--if someone commits an evil act--do you disassociate them from your religion-or embrace them and forgive?

We all have our faults for anyone it would be difficult to embrace murderers rapists etc. With time some things heal but also depends on the situation. I know a person whose daughter was killed their significant other was driving under the influence and crashed. This person's daughter passed immediately yet the mother forgave the significant other saying she didn't want her life based on hatred and with the knowledge on how much her daughter adored her significant other. Situations are different for everyone. It is not my place to judge. Eventually I would hope to find it in my heart to forgive I love my family love is powerful living a life of hate or ill will isn't living.

In a biological family, if a brother or sister did something bad, would he/she cease to be a sibling? No. The same is true for religious believers. Everyone does bad things. If we want to look for reasons to disassociate from someone, it isn't hard to find one. We either learn to forgive or become very lonely.

This may not apply to all faiths, you would have to ask each one. In Christianity we all have God as our Father and that does make us family with true believers.
If someone com mitts wrongdoing, then there is a format for correcting them.
First we are to "go to the brother(sister), in private. Next, if they still will not repent you are to take a brother or sister with you to speak to them more strongly.
Then if they still are in the wrong then you are to bring the elders(authorities) and give them a last chance, then finally they are to be kicked out(ex-communicated).

It is human nature to shun those things which are evil in truth. That is to say abhorrent in nature or in societal norm. However, people of all faiths are my brothers and sisters and since no of us can claim freedom from the bondage of sin entirely, it would be hypocritical of me to not forgive. That does not mean I would approve of the behavior or feel like I would wish to be around that person, simply that I would forgive them and leave it in God's hands to work on changing their soul.

It doesn't matter what another person has done. If he/she has repented and is living a new life for God, they are my brother/sister in Christ. I would not shun them.
The key thing here is whether they are a true Christian. If they are not a real Christian, and were doing those things at present, I would try to get them to seek Jesus.
Christians are supposed to separate themselves from the world, so if they were currently doing those things, I could not associate closely with them, if that is what you mean.

You only embrace and forgive if they are remorsefull and repent. Otherwise, disassociate.

depends on your religion, for instance satanists worship rape and murder, so they would simply embrace, muslims would kill the guy, christians would embrace and forgive
