he is standing on a traffic island, he sees a car whizz by that reminds him of his own, he dose not fear for his life because its soon safe to cross to the sidewalk!...?

because he is dreaming... he dreams he's on an island, with no food or water... then he sees his life pass him by... he then realize that its a dream and is not afraid of dying or anything..
