You guys read this story? He tried hiding his face and having his voice changed so he could not be recognized:

"But the suspended prelate made the mistake of giving the televised interview in his Vatican office, which was identified by other staff."

I think thats funny. Couldn't he have told the film crew or whatever to put one of those black background things behind him? Kinda dumb.

Do you think the Vatican did the right thing, whether you support homosexuality or not? I do, specifically because of this part of the article:

"In the interview, he said that he did not regard himself as a sinner"

That is the problem. Jude 1:4 says we cannot change the grace of God into a license for immorality. Peter says we can live as free men, but do not use our freedom as a cover-up for evil. And in Matthew 23 Jesus has a long rant on the hypocrisy of the priests. You cannot say, "I am a Christian so I can sin". We have to have a conviction of our sins, or else why need Christ?

Every religion has its own set of internal rules. If you want to be part of that religion's authority structure, you are obliged to buy into those rules.

Of course he should regard himself as a sinner! ALL MEN are sinners, even clergy!

The problem is, not whether he was gay because he, if living a chaste life, was doing NOTHING immoral, NOTHING wrong, and was committing NO sin.

Peter said he didn't believe in Jesus three times, also! It doesn't matter what the disciples say, only what their, and your, master did!

Anti-gay bigots and homophobes who are human rights abusers often do not regard themselves as sinners either.
