You're ice cubes will only sink if they have a greater density then your soda. If your soda is heavily carbonated or less dense than water (say you used alcohol instead - ice sinks in whisky, floats in water).
If all the ice on the planet sank (a physical impossibility) then we wouldn't all be dead, anyone living below the 80 metre (260 foot) contour would need to move to higher ground - that's all.

Hahaha Al Gore, what a crock of ****.
"Heavy water" ice cubes will sink.
"Salt Water" ice cubes can sink...
It's not global warming, which is a scientifically incorrect term.
More of a scare.
Should be called "Global Climate Change", something for which there is no solid evidence backing up.
CO2 infusing with Mtn Dew LOL

What I think would be even more interesting is if the ice broke off in big chunks and started banging around into eveything...we couldnt travel in the region because the floaters would be everywhere...could you imagine one of them floating towards our coast at about the speed of a cruise ship??? THAT would wreak havoc! It wouldnt need to come ashore to cause some serious changes.

There must be lead in your ice, It has robbed you of your sanity. The Antarctic Ice sheet can't sink, it's on land, they could melt though, that's the next worse thing (it's possible as well)

Ask a scientist, they seem to have all the answers.
Don't forget to give them a generous grant though.
Better yet ask Hillary Clinton or Al Gore. They'd be happy to answer your question as long as they could increase your taxes.

That is the property of water that supports life: ice floats.
Must be all the BS you are putting in them.
