I went to a concert last night...and I woke up this morning and everything is muffled. This has never happened before...I've had ringing in my ears for about a week one time due to a concert, but this time everything is just muffled. I'm really worried that I'm not going to be able to hear right again :( Is there any hope for me?

Everyone is telling me to go to the doctor...but what good is that going to do if hearing loss due to noise is irreversible?

Go to the doctor/audiologist. This doesn't sound good! After a full night's sleep your hearing shouldn't be muffled still.

Constant exposure to high decibel sound leads to permanent hearing loss. Some loud noise can cause immediate and permanent loss of hearing.
Anything over 120db for a prolong period can lead to hearing loss. Once the tiny hairs in the ear are destroyed they don't grow back.
I know, I used to listen to music with headphones and a kick-*** stereo system cranked up and now I'm paying the price.
If it doesn't get better soon see an audiologist asap.

Well one time, stupid me was scratching the inside of my ear with a pen (And we all done stupid stuff like that) and I did something terrible. Must have actually hit the drum. It bleed and my hearing did come back. It took two months.About ringing, one time I was shooting my AK-47 and than had a friend shoot it. He was in front of me (A NO NO) I got the muzzle blast right in my ear and 20 years later it still rings. But this was a loud, a quick sound, I assume your ears somewhat got accustomed to the music noise as it might have been gradual. I think your hearing will come back, If I survived a pen, it is not impossible

You'll be fine. This happens frequently. It is the same thing as when you scream at a concert and the next day your throat is sore. Just take some Tylenol & enjoy your Saturday!

Yes, this could imply permanent hearing loss. You need to get it checked out as soon as possible. Do a Google search for an ear, nose and throat doctor in your area and make an appointment, today if you can.

You can't hear anything now because of the loud music. Wait a day and see what will happen. If it's the same, go to a doctor.

You may have damaged your hearing more because hearing loss from loud noise is accumulative. If there is no improvement by Monday seek help, you may be ready for hearing aids.

Yeah, it'll probably come back. If it doesn't get better in a few days, you might want to go to the Dr., but that's happened to me before and it got better.

Yes it will come back in a little while but if it doesn't come back in 3 days I would call your physician just to be sure that you are not semi-deaf
