So basically according to Gandalf Parker's views, Catholics should return to the use of canonical laws and replace their secular democracies in their countries with the autocratic rule of the Pope under the Vatican and they will administer to these nation-states and eliminate borders in order to create a large religious empire.

Well the Vatican is a country run by religion and it seems to have pulled it off.

And some people here seem to need some info on what Islam is. Turkey is Islamic and its part of Europe and part of NATO. The most islamics are in indonesia, not some desert somewhere. According to the CIA here are the top 10.
1 Indonesia 207,000,105
2 Pakistan 159,799,666
3 India 151,402,065
4 Bangladesh 124,872,121
5 Egypt 70,530,237
6 Turkey 68,963,953
7 Nigeria 64,385,994
8 Iran 64,089,571
9 Algeria 32,999,883
10 Morocco 32,300,410

Im guessing that you are referring to Iran, the Caliphate. It might also be worth looking at the government that they want to return to. Its actually fairly democratic when compared to the US. At least when compared to the electoral college method we use now.

Yes. Read the Salafiyya. They advocated recognizing Islam as the majority religion but each of the three grew more secular and democratic.

You can read a bit about the Salaf in Albert Hourani's "Arabic Thought in the Liberal Age" and use the bibliography to learn more.

Do you mean all over the world? Because that'll never be possible. But in North American and European countries, yes, most definitely.

But out most serious concern, while things are simmering under the surface right now, is to NOT become complacent and to NOT allow ourselves to become duped into believing there is no longer a threat from Islam, worldwide.

We must NEVER let down our guard. We must NEVER turn our backs in gullible trust. Because the Islamic mandate to take over the entire globe is NOT just a fad. It's a goal that will be passed down with each generation. It will NEVER fade out.

Let's just remember that. We can be friends, but we can never let down our guard. They're waiting for that.

Call me paranoid if you want ...

Islam ought to be separated from the planet - along with all other religions. Once that is accomplished perhaps we will finally be free to live up to our potential as a species.

Yes, absolutely.

The only problem is that islam defines itself as being the sole judge and controller of BOTH the state and the law.

Lookin through history it is difficult to think of a nation run by the religious authorities that turned out well.

I thought we all ready had separation from church and state. Its in our constitution. At least in the U.S.

So all religions are separated from government.

I'd say yes, Islam doesn't seem to be much interested in human and civil rights; especially for women.
