can you attach PS3 to PC to transfer blu-ray data?

PS3 is a great Blu-Ray player. Dont want to buy a Blu-Ray drive for my PC. Can the ouputs of the PS3 be used to transfer Blu-Ray data on a PC and its storage?

I can understand you, BD-DVD drive is an expensive piece of gear, but, unfortanately, NO. :-( (I wish it was yes...) You can connect them only via LAN and use your PC as a media server.
