My friend has a miniature doberman pinscher that did the same thing, a chicken bone had dropped on the floor and she ate the whole thing in really about 3 seconds, later she was throwing up blood. I'm not sure what the vet -exactly- said but i know the throwing up had someting to do with the bones, not good for them. I'm not sure exactly what you should do, but contact any other vet and make sure he doesnt eat ANY human food

There should be an animal clinic that has to be open where you live. I don't care if it's 5 hours away. Drive you dog there because the bones could have done the following:
-Blocked the intestins
-Pierced/scratched the intestins
-Damaged the mouth.
The above two are dangerous, even life threatening, to dogs.
Cooked bones are more hard and brittle and they can split up and make sharp edges, which could have easily damaged the intestin, which could be the cause of blood in your dogs vomit.
Get your dog to a vet!

Can you get a raw egg down him or some soft bread. Maybe the egg will help line his stomach. The VET has a 24 hour hotline, before you do anything call the VET.
No one will ever need to tell you again - don't feed chicken or turkey bones to dogs. I certainly hope he will be okay. I said a prayer for him. I pray for my dogs all the time.

Find an emergency clinic. Call your vets answering system, or another vet for a name of a 24 hour emergency clinic.
I don't want to freak you out, but this can be really dangerous. The bones can cause major damage to your dog including getting stuck, or tearing your dogs organs.
Don't wait. Find a vet immediately!

okay there's not much you can do since the turkey carcass is cutting up the dog's insides from the sharp ends of the bones...youre probably going to have to take it to another vet further away cause it needs medical help pretty quick. those kind of things can get pretty dangerous for a dog. you could try searching nearby animal hospitals...
best of luck!

Well you shouldn't have let him eat the bones in the first place. Coughing up blood is a really bad sign for any person or animal. I'd try ringing round for emergency vets.

You can probably get some 'fast & free' sound advise by getting back on the phone to some other vets in your area as well as the local animal shelter.....Sat. is a good day for Vets & working pet owners, someone is out there-
alot of blood or just spotty..?...granted 'any' ain't good !
A whole lotta water for sure...bulk dry food to help firm-n-go !!

Obviously there was scratched, scrapes and perhaps a puncture or more from the bones going down and then back up.
Dogs are resiliant. Your odds are that the dog will survive and be just fine. Off chance is that your dog will have a puncture, infection, sepsis and this could be fatal.
If the worst is over, then just watch the dog and see if there are other symptoms.

Can't believe that there's not a vet in the community on a rotating 24 hour basis. Make a few telephone calls to identify them, and, do get immediate attention - both for you and your dog.

Call a animal hospital. Your dog may have cut its insides with the bones. It may not be very serious, but it could be. If you talk to the hospital they should be able to help. They will either tell you you need to bring the dog in or if you can wait.
