Once there was a British admiral who always wore a red coat when they were in a battle. One day one of his men asked why he always put on the red coat when they were in battle. The admiral replied, "That's so if I am wounded then neither the enemy or my crew will realize I've been hurt". And using this principle, to this day, French officers have always worn brown pants!

Typical crap post from somebody with an anti-French agenda.

By the way "not so know it all" British Admirals are in the Royal Navy and they wear, and have always worn BLUE jackets!

I believe the US military uniform in WW1 was brown though, the French wore "Horizon Blue" until WW2 when they changed to Green.

Could be. The brown pants sound logical as blood is a brown colour when old or drying and not bright red as some people think.

The first part of your inane joke is true about the Admiral but he was a British General.

The second part is just a bad joke, just as you are.

Why do you think it is "cute" or "with it" to bash another nationality? I have many very nice, friendly and caring French friends. You, on the other hand, I would be ashamed to introduce to them as an American. You are a disgrace to America.
