i understand "friend with right" but what are the details of this relationship?

It's a relationship without compromise. It's not your boyfriend or girlfriend but you can usually have sex, kisses etc...
In Spain we used to say "amigo con derecho a roce" and it means something like "friend with right to touch"

Simple... Amigo con derecho = friend with benefits. You are friends but you keep it casual. Sometimes If you feel the 'need' you can ... well, snog but there's not compromise. You don't date. You're not exclusive.

It's what Americans call "boyfriends". No engagement, no compromise, but have "privileges" like having sex and maybe living together. In the USA is very common, but not in Latin America.
