No. The insurance is for the car, not for your license.

No, because you have nothing to insure (car). Many companies will require all licensed drivers in a household to be named, even if they will not be driving any of the insured vehicles. This does not add cost to the policy, it just informs them that a licensed, uninsured, driver lives there.

No. But if you are still leaching off your parents by living with them, and they have insurance on their cars, their rates may go up unless they exclude you on their policy. That way, if you drive their car, and you wreck it, the insurance company is not going to pay. The only reason you need insurance is if you have a car.
