see it also depends on what kind of tattoo you have put. a cheap tattoo will surely leave a bad impression on others. also a person may also find a tattoo bad if he/she is skin conscious (as a tattoo is bad for the skin)

It depends on the situation. Displaying your tattoos while applying for a job might not be a good idea (unless you want to work in a tattoo parlor or a bar).

I have a tattoo on my arm. While most people in my private life are either curious or indifferent, I have to keep it covered at work (I work in a public office). When I wear something short sleeved in summer I have had customers react to me with a frown or a comment. It's one of the reasons I keep my tattoos to places I can cover easily with a t-shirt and long pants.

Yes! I was tattooed 50 or so years ago whilst in the armed forces. I pursued a teaching career afterwards quite successfully but was denied access to the very senior posts because of the impression that I was somewhat uncouth to have been tattooed. I would prefer now not to have them at all. I personally find them a sign of intellectual weakness.

It depends. Is your body developed enough?? Or are you still short and skinny?? If your body is already grown the way it will be when you're 18/19 then its okay i guess. Also depends what the tattoos are..If your dad just tattoos random stuff on you like you're his guinea pig then that's not good. but if they're all meaningful to you then algood.

They make a bad impression on me. I don't understand why a person would deface their own body for the rest of their life. It always is a decision that years later, people regret. Tattoos are for short minded people who fail to think of long term consequences. Think about how many people get married and then a year later are divorced. Well, you can't divorce your tattoo.

only to closed minded people.
who don't understand the reasoning behind a persons tattoo or for people in certain countries the culture. everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
But they have no right to pass judgment an those of us who chose for cultural reasons or our own personal reasons to tattoo our bodies.
What we do is our choice and there for really no one else's business.

Ya-my family are all tattoo-free & religious, they hate the fact I have them but have mellowed out, a couple of my tattoos I regret cause I got anxious cause a guy offered me (my first free tattoos), so I got them on both my fore-arms, (big mistake), & had to get one covered, the other one is a nude woman & her body is deformed, it's been fixed twice but someday I'll just cover it.

if you are covered in tattoos I think that it looks tacky. How can you go to a formal dinner or conduct business meetings when you have tattoos on your face and neck and entire arms? I have three tattoos but they are in places that are not viewed by everyone. Think ahead people!

Yes, too much tattooing makes a person repulsive to some people.
