yes you can the gx ,and the gxe are just trim packages,the engines in those two are the same,it will go in with no problems,the only difference in the two cars at all is the options they came out with,good luck on it.

Should be a clean swap. Both KA-24 motors just look carefully at both intake manifolds to make sure they look the same. Are the idle air control hoses are the same. Black hoses that connect to the air filter to throttle chamber bellows.
