you have to replace it because there isnt rally any thing you can put on to fix it its not a hard job just to replace one eye however if you really must reapair it eg in an emergecy you can use epoxy resin..but replace ASAP

I have been building and repairing rods for about 20 years and have not found a way to repair a chipped ceramic guide with out replacing it. You could try some clear finger nail polish or some epoxy and put on enough to smooth out the rough edges, this may get you by for a day or two but the guide should be changed. You could also try bending the rod with line through the guides and see if you can fish it with out the chipped guide. If so remove the guide and use it until you can get it repaired. This will work best on a spinning rod.

As stated, there is no way to do it. The guide must be replaced. if you have an extra rod w/ a similar sized guide, take the guide from that rod and replace the chipped one, it'll get you by for a day. Thread and epoxy will make a quick fix until you can do it right.

Dont even waste your time. Replacing the guide is easy and if you try to fix a chipped guide all you will do is create a rod that will damage line and cause you to lose fish.

as long as it's not the one on the tip of the rod,i would just take it off.it will still work fine till you can get one to replace it.i won a bass tournament a couple of yrs ago with a rod that had 2 guides removed,an accident in the boat rod got stepped on,and when i straightened them up they broke so i took them off,but it still worked fine.
