Hot water actually makes the skin drier, but of course, nobody wants to take a cold bath! So I would suggest bath oil pearls, which you can get in beauty shops or even in convenience stores, depending on where you live. Bath oil pearls come in a variety of colors and fragrance. The oil will keep your skin nice and moist after the bath, and it does not feel sticky.

Baby oil works well but Neutrogena has a product called Body Oil with Sesame oil in it. Awesome ans smells lovely. I have to use it every winter from dry skin. Doesnt leave you all greasy like you would think either.

Dry skin problems respond well to self-care measures, such as using moisturizers and avoiding long, hot showers and baths. If you have very dry and scaly skin, your doctor may recommend you use an over-the-counter cream that contains lactic acid or lactic acid and urea.
In a more serious skin disease, such as ichthyosis or psoriasis, your doctor may prescribe prescription creams and ointments or other treatments in addition to home care.
Dry skin leads to dermatitis, which causes red, itchy skin. In these cases, treatment may include hydrocortisone-containing lotions. If your skin cracks open, your doctor may prescribe wet dressings with mildly astringent properties to contract your skin and reduce secretions and prevent infection.
I believe http://www.skinsosilky.com/ will help you best for more advices, ideas and best treatments for any skin problem like dry skin.

honestly - hot water is terrible for dry skin - so limit hot water time. Try aveeno oatmeal packets. I use it when my excema flares up! After beeing it hot water, pat skin dry and put on a thick moisturizer like cetaphil in the tub or eucerin!

I suggest putting a little bit of baby oil in with your bath water. It'll get soaked up by your skin and leave your feeling moisturized!

Go to a local store that specializes in these type of products. (Bath and Body is one) See what they recommend.
