Yang Liwei,the first Chinese astronaut in space when questioned about sighting the Great Wall from space,replied in the negative.Therefore is surely is a myth.

i will tell you if ive been from space. hehe but its true! all the people who had been to the moon stated that the only thing they'd see up there is the great wall of china. its not a myth.

Myth.
Obviously you can see it from space if you have a powerful enough telescope - but the same's true of most large buildings. The story that the Great Wall of China is the only man made construction visible from space was made up by a newspaper during the silly season.

The last time I did a space walk, I could clearly see the Great Wall of China with my naked eye.
I could even see a lizard scurrying about on top of the wall itself.
Fascinating stuff.

It is no myth. It has been reported several times by astronauts, and is the only man made recognizable feature, that can be seen from space.

of course you can.. a hubble telescope that about 355km away from the earth can even take a picture that 1meter in long.. great wall china is much bigger that 1 meter, so you can see it clearly.. even with naked eyes...
