1) Which meal do you prefer, lunch or dinner (supper)? (Why?)

i like lunch better. that's usually the one meal where i have a little bit of time. it's also the one where i tend to go out becaue of being at university all day.

2) What do you usually eat for breakfast?

i'm a breakfast-skipper. i know that's terrible, but i'm just not hungry in the morning.

3) What do you usually eat for lunch? *

it depends on where i am mostly. when i'm on-campus, i go across to the mall to pick up something there. i usually have a ginormous salad (which i save half of for dinner) because it's not as veg-friendly as things closer to home.

4) What do you usually eat for your evening meal? *

it varies. because i don't eat meat, i eat a lot of international cuisine. usually i'll have some variation of beans and rice or veggie stir-frys. occasionally i'll have filled pastas (not often because they're a little too labor-intensive).

5) Do you think breakfast is important? (Why?/Why not?)

i totally think that breakfast is important. i just can't be so bothered. i've noticed that on days when i eat a proper breakfast, i don't get ravenous by lunchtime and binge.

6) Would you like to try any new food?

i've been told that i need to break down and try Mexican food, and i definitely want to try African food as well.

I'll answer your Q in the order you asked them:
1] I prefer dinner. Its a more relaxed atmosphere AND I usually dine with one or more other folks. The food doesn't make the meal memorable. The people make the meal memorable.

2] This is what I have for breakfast: It varies:
An assortment of omelets - from a plain cheese omelet to a veggie and cheese; western omelet; omelet with hot dogs and onions. In other words, what ever I'm in the mood for on that particular morning.

BTW, I don't use whole eggs. I use an egg substitute. The filling is prepared in the usualy way - by sauteeing.
The egg substitute is prepared in the microwave WITH the filling.
I found egg substitute sticks to my egg pan - yes I have a special pan JUST for eggs. This is when I have guests for breakfast OR lunch OR dinner and my guest(s) prefer eggs.

I have waffles, pancakes, French toast and once in a while I go to the trouble of making "Logs" - bread rolled with raisins and cinnamon held together with toothpicks, dipped in an egg batter and cooked the conventional way.

Meat? Breakfast sausage, bacon, ham steak, Sirloin steak [cooked Pittsburgh rare or "Black and Blue".
I LOVE scrapple! [I live outside Philadelphia, PA. I was practically raised on the stuff!]
Once in a while I make S.O.S. - creamed chipped beef.

Home fries

Oatmeal, grits, Cream of Wheat

AND of course cold cereal with fresh fruit and milk.

Oh yes, Coffee - LOTS of it!

3] Lunch: Usually leftovers from the evening before OR I have a sandwich of some kind. Anything from grilled cheese to getting take-out OR take away [as I see some folks refer to it on Y! A]. Thewre are certain restaurants which make what I want much better and faster than I could ever do it.
If I want a hogie/po' boy/sub, I go to one place. If I want a cheesesteak, I go to another.

4] Evening meal: I'm a very fortunate man. I was fortunate enough to work in many different restarants for more than 26 years.

IF I go out for dinner to a restaurant two times a month - its a lot. I usually prepare dinner for myself, "The Goddess" - the lady I currently date AND many times other folks. I usually ask what they think they would like to have and I do my best to prepare it.

I DO NOT make whatever they want. I DO NOT go to the expense of buying ALL the food ALL the time.

Many times folks bring food or drop it off and ask me to prepare it. This I do ALL the time AND the way that person or those folks want me to prepare it!

5] I think breakfast is THE MOST important meal of the day! It DEFINITELY gives me a "kick start" for the day.

Thanks for asking your Qs! I enjoyed taking the time to answer them!

VTY,
Ron Berue
Yes, that is my real last name!

That's a long question. Right now - sprite and crackers. all day. lol :P
when i'm not suffering from morning sickness....
Breakfast - yogurt, kashi cereal with unfrozen blueberries and milk - with flaxseed if i'm being really good.
Lunch - whatever is quick and easy - even if it is cafeteria food. Not a lot of food because i don't want to get sick.
Supper - Vegetable of some type, grain of some type (pasta, bread, etc)., sometimes protein, condiment of some type. lol
Yes, breakfast is important. I feel better when I eat breakfast. Right now im' trying to decide if i want to try making gnocchi right now (i don't know - i've never had it...)

That's 6 questions !

Nearly every day I have the same thing. Sometimes I add a dish of fresh berries. I have old fashioned oats cooked in butter and milk topped with brown sugar and raisins with a wee bit of cream over all, Cinnamon toast and Red Bush Tea.
