I used to live in New Jersey and eat TasyKakes. They are the BEST little pastries in a package. But now I am in California and all they have is Hostess. Blah! (actually, they're alright) Anyone know how I can get my hands on some TastyKakes? If you've had them, you know what I mean! Their chocolate Tandykakes are amazing! Thanks!

Paul Ding, I thought about your answer and I guess I associate really good memories with those little sweet treats! I used to peel the frosting off the Krimpets too!
Thanks!

I live in Connecticut(formerly the bronx) and have always loved Tastykakes(especially the chocolate ones), but they are so hard to find now I just grab them when I see em.

If they were easy to find here, I would pick some up and mail them to you but they're not =(

They don't seem to be available in California but you can order online from the Company... Link below =)

Meijer's carries TastyKakes. They're in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. I don't think there's anyone further west.

You're not the first person I've heard rave about TastyKakes. I grew up in the midwest, near a Dolly Madison outlet, and I remember a couple of treats with fondness, but I would hardly rave about them. I don't think of TastyKakes as being exceptionally good.

But then I got to thinking. I bought a couple of boxes of butterscotch Krimpets yesterday. They're better than anything Little Debbie offers. The frosting is too sweet, but it peels off easily, and the cake under the frosting is actually pretty good for storebought. And given my wife, those two boxes will disappear before the weekend is out, without my having eaten a bite. Maybe they *are* that good.

I like the *new* vanilla cupcakes, and the spice cake krimpets. Speaking of regional food, do they have 'Taco John's' out in Ohio? And to Sexy Troj...the factory is still there and operating on Hunting Park Ave., however the threat of a new casino built adjacent to the property has caused the owners to want to leave the city.

There was nothing better than a Pat's or Gino's cheese steak and than a pack of butterscotch krimpets.
